More Family Visiting

In late August the Stager family came up to spend a weekend and visit with us. We lucked out with the weather, and so were able to spend some time outside, where Rowan and Kayden enjoyed the pool and the grass.
By the way, has anyone noticed how we don't make it into the pics anymore?

Oh, and Teak's no dummy, he knows where to be when breakfast is served.

Backyard Shannanigans!

Apparently you get a few friends and some family members over and our backyard quickly shrinks! But these are the days that make up the good memories....
Colin and Kayden testing the waters...

Kate and Rowan tossing the beach ball...

Kayden giving soccer a try...

Rowan showing Brad her latest Juijitsu move that Tato taught her...doesn't look like it's going so well...

Last of the Summer Holidays

The end of August saw us heading to Cranbrook for a bit of a holiday. We all (Chad, Michelle, Kayden included) headed home to celebrate Grampa K's 70th birthday, and while they had to leave after the weekend, we stayed on for another week. Nana and Grampa had kindly installed this swing in the backyard, which proved to be a great entertainer. Rowan could barely be dragged away from it for short periods of time, and would go so far as to bang on the backdoor at 6am or so indicating that she was ready to go. Note: this picture of Kayden in the swing was a rare occassion!

More Cranbrook Moments

Grampa K's 70th birthday party was a great success, and Kayden was a regular social butterfly..

We spent a couple of afternoons up at Jim Smith lake. Rowan was able to dig and play in the dirt, and test out her rock throwing capabilities.

Taking Care of Her Own

Looks like Rowan decided to start reading group. It started out with Bear, and then she decided she needed more of an audience. I thought giving Bear a blanket (last pic) for his story-time was a nice touch.

This was at Nana's house during our visit. Rowan decided that her Teddy was hungry, so took him over to her feeding chair and gave him her container of snacks. When he made no moves, she took it upon herself to try and feed him too...

First Haircut

Rowan had her first haircut last weekend. She was very entertained by her pink jeep, and all the other action going on around her, so it went very smoothly. Not that we made any big changes, just cleaned up her rough edges.
