BFF Kate

While it sometimes seems that they have a love-hate relationship, Rowan and Kate definately have a bond. Very much indicated by the fact that Colin was not welcome on this chair; girls only!!

I have had flashes of the future when Kate says, "you want to run Rowan, right?" which in 10 years time I fear translates into "you want to drink this Rowan, right?".

I know a few months ago I posted something about Rowan being a "hat girl"...but really, a towel will do,

or a headband, for more of a "Flashdance" look,

or a crown!

You all know...

what has happened to our family in recent months....I admit I've been reluctant to get back to posting here as it's hard to enjoy many things that I once did. I know that there are no words to convey what all of our family members are going through these days, and this won't be the place that I try to relay that. But Rowan is growing up so quickly these days, and I hate for you to miss some of her finer moments. So I will continue to try and keep things updated, and I know that you'll forgive me if my stories are shorter or my humour is more limited.....hopefully in time this will come to be the forum that it once was for us....

A sample of some Christmas pictures...we had a chance to spend time with all family members in Calgary. Rowan totally "got it" about the presents this year, and continues to ask for more. She also seemed to really enjoy spending time with her cousins, which was nice and hopefully the playing gets a little more cooperative as they all get older (although admittedly they do pretty good)!!

The Big Pink Horse

For her birthday, Baba and Gido gave Rowan a big, pink, stuffed horse....she calls him "Horsey" (I know, we are original people). Horsey lives up in the TV room, where Ro can be found sitting on him to enjoy her daily viewing of Finding Nemo. She is reluctant to share, but will accommodate a double here and there....
